As I sit in bed, awkwardly sitting with my bulldog staring at me from above my laptop screen, I am trying to put into words my “reason why” for this blog. I think the most important reason, is that I want people to see how realistic it can be to change their lives. I want to provide a place to support people who are wanting to make the change to a positive and healthy lifestyle! I also want to inspire people to be kind to everyone. I firmly believe that you get out of life, what you put into it. Sounds cliche, but it’s true. Finally, I want this to be a place that is raw and real. I think it’s time we stop posting the few seconds of perfection that are filtered and edited, and start being real with each other!

There are a few people that I have found on social media, who have truly inspired me, in similar ways that I want to inspire others. One of the first people I started following is @whitneysimmons. I came across her first on YouTube a handful of years ago, and loved the helpful “fit tips with Whit” she posted. Another YouTuber and Instagram influencer I look up to is @t.beaston. Although she is not a fitness guru, she is the master of all mommy lifestyle things. I adore her honesty and kindness she brings to the online community she has built. If you’re looking for various workout ideas, or information on proper form, look no further than @hannahbower2 on Instagram. This young athlete has an incredible story of her own that will leave you feeling all of the motivational feels! She has hundreds of posts containing useful information to even advanced athletes.
“The most important thing is to try and inspire people so that they can be great in whatever they want to do.”
Kobe Bryant
Something all of these influencers have is common is they post valuable content to their online community. I think the most valuable part of their content is that it is honest. In the social media world, filtered and posed is losing its popularity. People are wanting valuable content they can use in their own lives, from influencers that are relatable! Posting raw and vulnerable material for people to see builds a trusting relationship. Most of these influencer’s posts contain helpful information in the description, and not just a simple emoji or catch phrase.
To me, it is not about getting “instafamous” or having that little blue checkmark next to by name. I just want to be that source of motivation that keeps someone pushing through the tough times of their life. Having people tell me that I am their inspiration when they are choosing healthy foods or pushing through the last five minutes of cardio is the ultimate compliment. So, that’s what I want this blog to be built on….honesty, motivation, value, and gratitude.
